Business Friends is a Shropshire-wide business networking organisation, put together not to make profits for the owners or the members, but to raise much needed funds for Hope House Childrens Hopice by bringing business people from around the county together.  All profits from attendance fees will go to Hope House who are fully supportive of the organisation.

Business Friends of Hope House as a group also organise fund raising activities, selling scratch cards, organising quiz nights, lottery tickets as well as individual members like Nigel Lomax from Tax Assist Accountants

At a meeting of "Business Friends of Hope House" earlier this year, Nigel Lomax of TaxAssist Accountants in Shrewsbury was delighted to present a cheque for £250 to Hope House Hospice. 

Nigel explained that all TaxAssist's clients who pay by direct debit agreed that they would donate December 2008's  2 ½% VAT reduction  to Hope House.

Nigel went on to say "I know the important work that Hope House does and the fact that it relies greatly on donations. I decided to make a donation myself and the clients I contacted all thought it was a good idea and wanted to get involved".
